Oatmeal Savory Pogaca Recipe

For those looking for healthy and light snacks, I have a wonderful recipe today: Gluten-Free Oatmeal Savory Buns!
This recipe stands out as a healthy alternative to classic savory pastries and is a perfect baked good option especially for those following a gluten-free diet.
However, I’d like to share a small but important reminder here: While oats are naturally gluten-free, there is a risk of cross-contamination during processing. Therefore, make sure to use certified gluten-free oats.
It's also important to remember that some individuals may be sensitive to oats themselves. This is due to a protein in oats called avenin, which can cause reactions in some people with gluten intolerance. You should listen to your body and go by your own experience. If you notice gluten-like symptoms even when consuming oats labeled as gluten-free, it’s best to eliminate oats from your diet.
These buns are not only delicious but also rich in nutrients. Thanks to the oats, they are high in fiber; the sunflower seeds provide healthy fats; and the cheese and eggs offer a good source of protein. Since there's no flour in the recipe, their texture is a bit different from classic buns, but the slightly crispy exterior and soft interior make for a very satisfying bite.
Because they’re made with baking powder, they don’t have the pillowy texture of bakery-style buns; instead, they resemble yeast-free savory pastries. The parsley adds both a pop of color and a mild flavor, but feel free to experiment with other ingredients. For example, adding roasted red pepper will give a slightly sweet flavor, or you can bring them closer to the classic bun taste by incorporating dill and nigella seeds.
These buns are easy to make and perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, or as a healthy snack throughout the day. And really, who wouldn’t want to take a joyful break with a tray of freshly baked, wonderfully fragrant buns?
Enjoy!
