Bezelyeli Pilav Recipe
Bezelyeli pilav or rice with peas is one of the most delicious rice pilavs. In addition to being delicious, it is also an eye-catching pilav with its color. It goes well with meat and chicken dishes, both visually and in taste. If you wish, you can support the color by adding some dill.
I used to make pilav with just butter or a mixture of butter and olive oil. Now I only use olive oil. There are a few different reasons for this. The first is that I used to use the butter my mother made, and none of the store bought butters tasted like hers. Secondly, now I have the opportunity to use incredibly delicious olive oils in Spain. Thirdly, as I get older, my need to lighten my meals has increased. When all these reasons come together, I have no choice but to make my rice with olive oil.
For bezelyeli pilav, you can use fresh, frozen or canned peas. Whether you use fresh or frozen, just follow the recipe. If you want to use canned peas, you can add the peas and mix them after the rice softened.
As I mentioned above, you can strengthen its color and add an extra flavor by adding dill or other green spices. If you want to make a more colorful pilav, you can add some carrots as well.
