Artichoke Mucver Recipe

Artichoke Mucver Recipe

There are three different approaches to artichokes in Turkey. The first is the approach of the Aegean, who grew up by eating artichokes. The second is the distant approach of those who only know artichokes by name and do not see it as worth cooking or are afraid of it because they do not know how to cook it. The third is the adventurous approach of the people who met and loved artichokes at a later age and try to try different artichoke recipes as much as possible. The artichoke mucver recipe is a perfect recipe for this third group. But of course, the door is always open for Aegean people who are tired of eating artichokes the same way, and for the distant people who want to stop being afraid of artichokes.

Artichoke Mücver is prepared like the classic zucchini Mücver. Only the artichoke is boiled and it is not necessary to squeeze the juice like zucchini. I use artichoke bowls, but you can use the same amount of artichoke hearts. Similarly, you can use frozen or canned artichokes instead of fresh artichokes.

You can serve artichoke mucver hot, warm or cold with yoghurt as in zucchini mucver. Although Mücver is usually prepared as a starter or side dish, in my opinion, it can also be a main dish for daily meals. If you want it to be a little more satisfying, rice pilaf with dill will suit very well as a side dish.

You can also cook the artichoke mucver in the airfryer or oven by spraying oil with a spray bottle.

  1. iliana: Please: what is meant by the ingredient called "artichoke bowl"? I am familiar with artichoke hearts, artichoke leaves, and artichoke stems, but I can't find any information about the "artichoke bowl". Thank you! April 24, 2025 12:04 pm
