Swedish Meatballs Recipe

Serving : 4 Servings

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 egg,
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs,
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream,
  • 1/4 tsp allspice,
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg,
  • Salt,
  • 1 tbsp butter to fry.

For Gravy Sauce;

  • 1 tbsp butter,
  • 1 tbsp flour,
  • 2 cups beef broth,
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream,
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation

  1. Take breadcrumbs into a mixing bowl,
  2. Add heavy cream, mix and set aside for a couple of minutes,
  3. Add ground beef, grated onion, egg, allspice, nutmeg and salt, then mix everything together with your hands,
  4. Form the mixture into small round balls,
  5. Heat the butter in a frying pan,
  6. Fry on both sides,
  7. For gravy sauce melt the butter and add flour, stir fry for 2-3 mins,
  8. Add the broth and heavy cream, stir well, cook until set, then remove from heat,
  9. You can serve the meatballs together with potato puree if you want.
