Swedish Meatballs Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef,
- 1 onion,
- 1 egg,
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs,
- 1/2 cup heavy cream,
- 1/4 tsp allspice,
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg,
- Salt,
- 1 tbsp butter to fry.
For Gravy Sauce;
- 1 tbsp butter,
- 1 tbsp flour,
- 2 cups beef broth,
- 1/2 cup heavy cream,
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Preparation
- Take breadcrumbs into a mixing bowl,
- Add heavy cream, mix and set aside for a couple of minutes,
- Add ground beef, grated onion, egg, allspice, nutmeg and salt, then mix everything together with your hands,
- Form the mixture into small round balls,
- Heat the butter in a frying pan,
- Fry on both sides,
- For gravy sauce melt the butter and add flour, stir fry for 2-3 mins,
- Add the broth and heavy cream, stir well, cook until set, then remove from heat,
- You can serve the meatballs together with potato puree if you want.
