Baked Potato Moussakka Recipe


  • 3 potatos,
  • 1 carrot,
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • Salt to taste,
  • 2 cups grated any kind of melting cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, greve, etc),

For Ground Beef Sauce;

  • 250 g gound beef,
  • 1 onion, chopped,
  • 1 green pepper, chopped,
  • 1 red pepper, chopped,
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste,
  • 1 cup grated tomato,
  • 4-5 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • 2 tsps ground red pepper,
  • Salt,
  • Black pepper,
  • 2 cups boiling water.


  1. Peel and potatoes and carrot,
  2. Chop potatoes into cubes and carrots into round shape,
  3. In a deep bowl combine potatoes and carrots with vegetable oil and salt,
  4. Pour into a baking pan covered with parchement paper,
  5. Bake in a 220 C degrees pre-heated oven until crispy,
  6. For sauce heat vegetable oil and add onion, cook until tender,
  7. Add ground beef and cook until all of its juice is evaporated,
  8. Add tomato paste and cook for a few mins. more,
  9. Add ground red pepper, stir,
  10. Add chopped red and green pepper, grated tomato, salt and pepper, cook 2-3 mins.,
  11. Add water and cook for another few mins., remove from heat,
  12. Share cooke potato and carrots into 4 12 cm casseroles,
  13. Pour sauce over,
  14. Cover with grated cheese,
  15. Bake in 180 C degrees until golden.
