Vegetable Pilaf Recipe


  • 1 cup rice,
  • 1/2 cup canned diced carrots,
  • 1/2 cup canned diced potatoes,
  • 1/2 cup canned peas,
  • 2 cup water,
  • 1 tbsp butter,
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • Salt to taste.


  1. Wash and drain the rice,
  2. In a skillet heat butter and vegetable oil,
  3. Add rice and cookfor 5 minutes,
  4. Add water, salt and drained canned vegetables,
  5. Cover the lid and cook in low heat until the rice is tender and all the water is absorbed,
  6. Remove from heat and set aside for 15 mins before serving.
