Spinach Lasagna Recipe

Serving : 6 Servings

Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna sheets (no pre-cooking required),
  • 1-2 cups of grated cheese.

For spinach mixture;

  • 500 g spinach, chopped,
  • 2 cups of curd cheese or crushed low fat white cheese,
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil,
  • 100 ml heavy cream.

For tomato sauce;

  • 5 tomatoes, grated,
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated,
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil,
  • Salt.

Preparation

  1. For the spinach mixture, heat oil in a large pan,
  2. Add into the spinach and sautee until tender,
  3. Add the cheese and cream, stir and remove from heat,
  4. For tomato sauce, heat oil in a large pan,
  5. Add into the garlich and stir,
  6. Add the grated tomatoes and cook for 5 mins. after it starts to boil,
  7. Pour a ladle tomato sauce into a baking dish which is large enough for 3 lasagna sheets,
  8. Place 3 lasagna sheets side by side,
  9. Hover over one third of the remaining tomato sauce,
  10. Spread half of the spinach mixture on,
  11. Place three more lasagna sheets,
  12. Hover over half of the remaining tomato sauce and all of the spinach mixture,
  13. Place three more lasagna sheets,
  14. Pour over the remaining tomato sauce,
  15. Cover with grated cheese,
  16. Bake in a 180 C degrees preheated oven until the cheese melts.
