Serving : 6 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semolina,
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar,
  • 1,5 cup water (depends on the semolina, have 2.5 cups of water on hand),
  • 1 tablespoon butter.

Preparation

  1. Melt the putter,
  2. Add the semolina and cook constantly stirring over low heat until the semolina turns lightly brown (20-25 mins),
  3. Add the sugar and stir,
  4. Add the water and cook stirring until the semolina absorbs the water,
  5. At this point you can add any kind of crushed toasted nuts if you want,
  6. Remove from heat and let it rest (lid on) for 15 mins.

  1. SH: Hi. I tried this recipe, but only added half a cup of sugar and it was perfectly sweet. Also, replaced the water with milk, and it turned out great! It's definitely a keeper! August 30, 2023 3:55 pm
