  • 400 g fresh peas (about 1 kg peas in shell),
  • 1 onion, chopped,
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • 2 tablespoons flour,
  • 4-5 cups of water,
  • 1 cup of milk,
  • Salt,
  • Black pepper.


  1. Heat the butter in a deep pan,
  2. Add the onion and sautee until soften,
  3. Add peas and stir,
  4. Cover the lid and cook until almost tender, stirring occasionally,
  5. Add the flour and stir, cook for a few mins. stirring constantly,
  6. Add 4 cups of water at room temperature and stir,
  7. Cook in low heat until the peas are fully tender,
  8. Puree the soup with a hand blender,
  9. Check the consistency and add water if necessary,
  10. Cook 5-10 min. more in low heat,
  11. Add the milk and cook for a few mins. more,
  12. Add salt and pepper, stir and remove from heat.
