Hot Chocolate With Chocolate
I'm sure now you think "What do you mean hot chocolate with chocolate? Isn't that hot chocolate made with chocolate?" If you want hot chocolate in Spain for example, if you are not in a low quality place, they will probably bring you a hot chocolate made with chocolate. But if you want a hot chocolate in Turkey it's very high chance that they will bring a cocoa + cornstarch and unfortunately perhaps + several consistency and flavor additives hot chocolate mix.
Since we met hot chocolate thanks to these store bought powder mixtures, the real hot chocolate culture made with real chocolate has never been established in our country. The hot chocolate recipes we make at home were created with almost the same logic, except for additives. Of course also hot chocolate made with cocoa is much cheaper, but the taste is also great.
I can never go bad with hot chocolate made with cocoa powder, because I love it too. Even if I'm going to drink it as a beverage, I prefer it because it is lighter, and if my goal is to meet my need of sweets, I prefer hot chocolate with chocolate.
As you can see from the photos, this winter has been a good excuse to make a real hot chocolate with real chocolate, when the biggest snowfall of the last years occurred in Madrid. I wanted to photograph and share it with you.
