Fried Cheese Pastry Recipe
Serving : 10-15 Pieces
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour,
- 1 cup warm water,
- 2 teaspoons rapid-rise yeast,
- 2 teaspoons sugar,
- 2 teaspoons salt,
- Vegetable oil to fry,
- Cheddar cheese / swiss cheese.
Preparation
- In a bowl mix together flour, sugar and yeast,
- Start adding the water slowly while mixing,
- Add salt and continue mixing,
- Mix and knead with your hands (add more flour or water if you need) until everything comes together to form a soft dough,
- Sprinkle some water on top of the dough and cover it with a kitchen towel,
- Let it rest for 30-45 mins,
- Pull small pieces out of the dough and place a piece of cheese in the centre, then mold the dough around the cheese to form a smooth ball,
- Place the prepared balls on a kitchen towel sprinkled with flour,
- Let them rest for 30 mins,
- Heat the oil well in a frying pan,
- Press the balls lightly to flatten, and place in the hot oil,
- Fry on both sides until golden brown.
