Easy Chicken Manti Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 10-12 phyllo sheets,
- 2 chicken breasts (boiled),
- 1 onion,
- Vegetable oil,
- Salt,
- Black pepper.
For topping;
- 2 cups of plain yogurt,
- 1 clove of garlic,
- Salt,
- 3-4 tbsps vegetable oil,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 1/4 cup water.
Preparation
- Finely chop the onion and sauté in 4 tbsps vegetable oil until softened,
- Stir in the shredded cooked chicken breasts, salt and black pepper, then remove from heat,
- Place 1 phyllo sheet on the counter and brush with vegetable oil,
- Place another one over it and evenly distribute chicken mixture on top,
- Roll the phyllo sheet and slice into 2-3 cm pieces,
- Place the slices into a 26 cm greased baking dish,
- Repeat the same process for the other phyllo sheets using the rest of the chicken mixture,
- Bake at 190 degrees celsius until golden,
- In the meantime heat the oil for the sauce in a saucepan,
- Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 mins,
- Now add the water and cook for 1 min, remove from heat,
- Mix yogurt with crushed garlic and salt,
- Remove the baking dish from the oven,
- Wait 2-3 mins. and then pour yogurt sauce first and then tomato paste sauce over,
- Garnish with green spices you like and serve.
