Chicken With Zucchini Bechamel Sauce Recipe


For the zucchini béchamel;

  • 3 green zucchinis,
  • 1.5 tablespoons flour,
  • 1 cup whole milk,
  • 1 cup grated cheddar,
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • Salt.

For the chicken sauté;

  • 2 chicken breasts,
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil,
  • 2 teaspoons paprika,
  • Salt.


  1. Peel and grate the zucchinis,
  2. Cook them over low heat in a pan without oil until softened,
  3. In the meantime, cut the chicken into small strips,
  4. In a separate pan, heat the vegetable oil and add the chicken,
  5. Cook over high heat until they turn golden brown and are fully cooked,
  6. Add the salt and paprika and stir for 1-2 mins, then remove from heat,
  7. Add butter to the softened zucchinis,
  8. Once the butter melts, add the flour and stir for 1-2 mins,
  9. Now add the milk and stir well,
  10. Finally add the salt, cheddar and stir until the cheddar melts and the sauce becomes creamy, then remove from heat,
  11. Place the chicken strips on the zucchini béchamel and serve.
