Chicken Vermicelli Pilaf


Chicken Vermicelli Pilaf

Ingredients :

  • 1 chicken breast,
  • 1 carrot,
  • 1 zucchini,
  • 1 cup vermicelli,
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil,
  • 2 cups water,
  • Salt,
  • Black pepper.


  1. Boil the chicken breast,
  2. Cut the carrots and zucchini into small rectangles,
  3. Place the butter and the vegetable oil in a wide saucepan,
  4. Add the carrots after the butter melts,
  5. Put the lid on and cook over low heat until the carrots soften,
  6. Add the zucchini and continue cooking until they soften,
  7. Add the vermicelli and cook for 5 more minutes stirring frequently,
  8. Add the water, chopped chicken breast, and salt, then cook until all the water is absorbed,
  9. Finally add the black pepper and remove from heat, then let the pilaf rest for 10 mins with the lid on.
