Brown Rice Pilaf Recipe Brown Rice Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown (unmilled) rice,
  • 1/2 tbsp butter,
  • 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • 3 cups boiling water,
  • Salt to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Wash and drain the rice,
  2. Melt the butter in a pan,
  3. Add v. oil,
  4. Add rice and salt ann cook, constantly stirring, until the rice is crispy (5-7 mins.),
  5. Add water and cover the lid,
  6. Cook in low heat until the rice absorbs all the water,
  7. Turn off the heat and set aside for 15-30 mins. before serving.
