Apple Cinnamon Wet Cake

Baking dish size: 22 cm X 34 cm

Serving : 6-8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs,
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil,
  • 1,5-2 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to the sweetness of your apples),
  • 4 medium size granny smith apples,
  • 2 cups flour,
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon,
  • 1/3 tablespoon baking soda,
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice,
  • 1 pinch of salt,
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts.

Preparation

  1. Peel and chop the apples into small cubes, then mix them with the lemon juice,
  2. Cream together the eggs, vegetable oil and sugar in a large bowl,
  3. In separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda,
  4. Add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir using a wooden spoon,
  5. Incorporate the apples into the batter,
  6. Pour the batter into a small greased baking dish,
  7. Sprinkle the crushed walnuts over the top,
  8. Bake in a 180 degrees Celsius oven for 40-45 mins.
