Apple Cinnamon Wet Cake
Baking dish size: 22 cm X 34 cm
Serving : 6-8 Servings
Ingredients
- 2 eggs,
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil,
- 1,5-2 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to the sweetness of your apples),
- 4 medium size granny smith apples,
- 2 cups flour,
- 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon,
- 1/3 tablespoon baking soda,
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice,
- 1 pinch of salt,
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts.
Preparation
- Peel and chop the apples into small cubes, then mix them with the lemon juice,
- Cream together the eggs, vegetable oil and sugar in a large bowl,
- In separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda,
- Add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir using a wooden spoon,
- Incorporate the apples into the batter,
- Pour the batter into a small greased baking dish,
- Sprinkle the crushed walnuts over the top,
- Bake in a 180 degrees Celsius oven for 40-45 mins.
