Wallnuts Pastry Recipe


  • 2 eggs (1 egg yolk will be brushed on top),
  • 1 cup vegetable oil,
  • 1 cup whole milk,
  • 1 cup finely ground walnuts,
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder,
  • 2 teaspoons salt,
  • 4 cups flour,
  • Crumbled feta cheese for the filling.


  1. Place 3 cups of flour in a large bowl,
  2. Stir in salt and baking powder,
  3. Make a cavity in the centre and add 1 egg and 1 egg white,
  4. Start mixing with your hands while adding the oil slowly,
  5. Add in the milk,
  6. Add the rest of the flour slowly while mixing, and continue kneading until the dough comes together,
  7. Incorporate in the walnuts,
  8. Pull clementine size pieces from the dough, press them on your palm and place some cheese,
  9. Mold the dough around the cheese and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment,
  10. Brush with egg yolk and bake at 200 degrees celsius until golden.
