Sunflower Pie Recipe
Serving : 4-6 Servings
Ingredients
For the dough;
- 2 cups flour,
- 3/4-1 cup lukewarm water,
- 1,5 tsp instant yeast,
- 2 tsps sugar,
- 1 tsp salt.
For filling;
- 500 g ricotta cheese,
- 1 egg,
- 1 bowl of chopped pasrley.
For topping;
- 1 egg yolk,
- Poppyseed.
Preparation
- Put flour into a deep bowl and make a hole in the middle,
- Put sugar and instant yeast into teh hole,
- Add water little by little and mix with your fingers,
- Add salt and pour the remaining water,
- Knead until you reach a soft and elastic dough,
- Cover it with plastic wrap and set aside for 45 mins.,
- For filling mix all ingredients together,
- When the dogh dobles in size knead again, then, then divide the dough in two (one is a little bigger then the other),
11. Roll a circle with the smaller one, - Place 1/3 of the filling in the center of the circle and the remaining creating another circle around, as seen on the photos,
- Make another circle with the reaminin dough and cover it on the filling,
- Cut the excess dough in the edges and wet the borders and attach one to another using a fork,
- Place a bowl over the filling in the middle and press with your hands, make sure the two dough leaves stick together,
- Using a sharp knife cut the borders,
- Turn them upside 90°, press with your hands smoothly to flatten,
- Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle poppyseeds over the middle part,
- Bake until golden in preheated oven at 190°C,
- Remove from oven and cover with a kitchen towel (yhis make it softer) fır 10-15 mins.
