Crunchy Spinach Rolls Recipe
Serving : 16 Pieces
Ingredients
- 4 phyllo sheets,
- 1 cup vegetable oil,
- 2 tablespoons flour,
- 1 egg yolk to brush on top,
- Sesame seeds
Filling;
- 1 bunch spinach,
- 1 onion,
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil,
- Salt.
Preparation
- Finely chop the onion and sauté in vegetable oil,
- Add in the chopped spinach and salt and cook until the spinach is wilted,
- Stir together 1 cup of vegetable oil and 2 tablespoons of flour until creamy in a small bowl,
- Place 1 phyllo sheet on the kitchen counter,
- Brush 1/4 of the oil / flour mixture on top,
- Place another phyllo sheet on top and brush with oil / flour mixture again,
- Cut the sheet into 8 triangular slices,
- Place some of the spinach filling in each triangle and roll like you would roll an egg roll,
- Prepare the other two phyllo sheets the same way,
- Brush the tops with egg yolk and sprinkle on some sesame seeds,
- Bake at 200 degrees celsius preheated celsius oven until golden brown and crunchy.
