Custard with Mandarine Jelly Recipe

Ingredients
Custard;
- 1 lt. whole milk,
- 1/2 cups flour,
- 1/2 cups starch,
- 1/2 cup sugar,
- 1/2 tablespoon butter,
- 1 mastic gum,
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract,
Jelly;
- Juices of 12 mandarines,
- 2 tablespoon starch,
- 4 tablespoons sugar,
To decorate;
- 2 kiwis.
Preparation
- Place all the custard ingredients except the butter in a saucepan and beat using an electric hand held mixer,
- Place on medium heat and cook stirring until well thickened,
- Remove from heat, add in the butter and whisk until the butter melts,
- Brush a rectangular dish with cold water (this will prevent the custard sticking to the dish) and pour the custard in,
- After the custard cools down, place kiwi slices evenly on top,
- Place the jelly ingredients into a saucepan,
- Cook on medium heat until thickened,
- Remove from heat and pour it evenly over the custard and kiwi slices,
- Serve chilled.
