Toyga Soup Recipe
Serving : 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 1/2 cups chickpeas,
- 1/2 cups wheat berries,
- 1 cups yoghurt,
- 1 tbsp dried mint,
- 1 tbsp butter,
- Saltı to taste,
- Water.
Preparation
- Boil the chickpeas and wheat berries,
- Drain (but not throw away the water),
- Transfer chickpeas and wheat berries in a deep pan,
- Measure teh boiling water and add to the legumes,
- Add some more water (4 cups totally with boiling water),
- In a bowl whisk together the yoghurt and 1 cup water together,
- Add in the cooked chickpeas and wheat berries,
- Cook, constantly stirring, until it satrts to boil,
- Cook for another 2-3 mins. in low heat, then remove from heat,
- Add salt and stir,
- In a sauce pan melt the butter, add dried mint and cook for 30 seconds,
- Add to the soup and stir.
