Creamed Spinach With Chickpeas Topping with Video

Ingredients
For Creamed Spinach;
- 750 g spinach, washed, drained, chopped,
- 1 tbsp butter,
- 3 spoonful flour,
- 2 cups milk,
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan,
- Salt and pepper to taste.
For Chickpeas;
- 1 onion,
- 1 green pepper,
- 1 tbsp tomato paste,
- 2 tomatoes, grated,
- 3 cups canned chickpeas,
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil,
- 1 tsp sugar,
- 1/4 cup boiling water,
- Salt to taste.
Preparation
- For cream spinach melt butter, add spinach and cook until tender, all the juice evaporated,
- Add flour and cook 5 mins., stirring,
- Add milk and stir well, cook until set,
- Add parmesan, salt and pepper, stir and remove from heta,
- For chickpeas heat oil, add onions and cook until softened,
- Add tomato paste and cook well,
- Add grated tomatoes,
- When it starts to boil add cjickpeas and cook 5 mins. ,
- Add water, sugar and salt,
- Cook for 1-2 mins. and remove from heat,
- Serve creamed spinach topped with chickpeas.
